Comparison of the Efficiency of Cross-Flow Plate Heat Exchangers Made of Varied Materials

This paper discusses a mathematical model for airflow through cross-flow plate heat exchanger. The exhaust air is used to the supply air. Three kinds of plates are considered: made aluminium, copper, and steel. purpose this research was verify which material build exchangers uses more efficiently. method Trefftz function determine approximate solutions analysed problem. results obtained 1.2 mm-thick external winter, summer, spring–autumn temperatures discussed. indicate that if efficiency price metals considered, then steel best Thanks use thin reduction in exchange time few minutes, cheap efficient exchanger can be obtained.
